trypto-fun turkey day run

Thanksgiving morning, Suzie and Sheryl ran the first annual Typto-Fun, while Lacey and I walked along with Clyde and Elliot.

We met up on the Brooklyn bridge mid-race for a little photo-opp. Sheryl took off to finish the race and then ran back to meet us again. Suzie—out of courtesy, not to physical depletion—walked the last little bit with us and the babes.

Aside from the cold—and even that wasn’t too bad—it was a really beautiful morning and such a nice way to start a day that, in spite of itself, can get a little (lot) crazy.

one, two monsters!

Over the holiday weekend we went to the MOMA with all of Suzie’s family that was in town and Elliot found a painting that she really, really liked—“Dwarf” by William Baziotes.
Except we didn’t know it was a dwarf… Elliot thought it was a monster (two, in fact: “one, two monsters!”) and I thought that was a pretty good guess, so I didn’t challenge her.
We seriously probably spent five minutes at this painting… she LOVED it.

ps: if that color up on top is correct, then it looks like I need to do some color correction on my shots. hmmm.

pps: unrelated except for the green… WE’RE GOING TO BOSTON THIS WEEK TO SEE THE CELTICS PLAY!!!!

diabetes here we come!

elliot looks like this more than not. we realized we needed to crack down on the sweets two days ago when we didn't give elliot chocolate milk for one single day and she refused all other liquids. she's dehydrated so her pee is all halloween orange...oooo spooky. any ideas for how to smuggle liquids that aren't mostly sugar/fat/chocolate into my kids diet would be great.
