missing the sonics…

I know this is just self-inflicted torture… and I’m not sure why I put myself through it, but… there were some really, really fun times as a Sonics fan growing up. They had to have been the most exciting team for a young kid to grow up watching.
“What? The Sonics?” you may say… “Wasn’t there so much fan apathy that the NBA moved them to the middle-of-nowhere, America?”
Watch these videos and tell me if you could be apathetic. I was not apathetic.

So there are about 156 great seconds in there, but, pay special attention at 2:06… there’s a gem in there that could easily be missed, but is so funny.

This is funny, too. How many times do you see players from the opposite team so dumbfounded and impressed that they come over and give you a high-five after they just were posterized? Answer: not very often.

Ray-Ray’s trying to get a charity game organized with all the ex-Sonic and Seattle ballers for this summer. The talk is that they may retire Gary Payton’s number AT the event. That would be SO cool to be at. Like… I would consider flying up for it.
but other than that… no. :(
