our first few shots were shot on manual mode and us basically point-and-shooting without realizing it… kind of too bad, but still kinda fun. They kinda look like old Daguerreotypes or pinhole camera images. Elliot, with her white skin and white coat and light hair is, of course, completely blown out in every image. You can see her excitement a little bit, though, in a couple of them.
She caught onto the Easter Egg Hunt frenzy and excitement pretty quick for a first-timer. Must be genes from Suzie—the queen of the Easter Egg Hunt.
Ok, when we planned this hunt, for some reason I don’t think we thought that Easter—you know the holiday of Spring, and tulips, and green grass, and new life?—would be covered in snow. This winter has been bizarre. It hasn’t been too cold, but it just doesn’t seem to want to go away. Which is cool with me… mild winters are much more bearable than scorching, early summer, as far as I»m concerned.
PS: check out this great post about Utah winters…

Pure elation. Frame-by-frame of Elliot’s reaction after finding an egg. And she would shake them incessantly until confronted with the dilema of how to pick up that newly-found third egg…
Elliot took a good 6 or 7 steps today in the evening, but walking around outside in the snow wasn’t as successful, so she spent most of the time dangling off Suzie’s arm like a floppsy, chubby teddy bear.
The booty bag… Suzie made this a while ago back when she wanted to change Elliot’s name to Etsy. It’s still a cute nick-name that we use sometimes. Along with Moxie, E.J., Missy Elliot, Billy Elliot, Billy Goat, and… maybe that’s it.
Rehydrating after all the excitement…
Happy Easter. ~ c+s+e
